NOW Mommy's dun bein stuppurrn.She Emeowed a cuppla uv our slaves an' got answers (Mommy sez fank mew fur da GLOW) But she dint haff a few slaves' Emeow addresses. An she figgered sum mite wanna know whut's goin on. So I gonna let Mommy haff da pawboard.

The last you all heard about me, I was having a CAT scan (without the aid of Spencer & Bailey..of all the nerve, right? ) Well anyway, for those that don't know my past medical history I have a shunt (tube) in my head due to water on the brain.I've had the tube in my head since I was a teenager. The neurologist felt the tube the other day at my appointment to discuss my CAT scan & after hearing me yelp in pain said it felt tender (I could have told him that it was TENDER ! ) He also said it's outdated (Oh REALLY?? Tell me something I DON'T know!And *I* didn't even go to medical school!) Long story short , in the next few weeks, I'm going to need surgery for a new one. I'll need to go to Shands Hospital in Gainesville FL to see a neurosurgeon. The date isn't set yet.
As far as the headaches go, he wants me to drink caffeinated drinks. (I'm not a coffee drinker.So he wants me to drink soda. I'm not crazy about soda ,but it is putting the headaches at bay.So whatever works. )
Spencer senses when I'm not feeling well. He's been laying with me in bed when I'm not on the computer. He's so sweet!

Mommy Kaffy sez fanks ,Sparkle (& Auntie Tammy!) She normally drinks flabored watur (Fruit 2O ) but a few cans uv soda a day won't kill her. An' yes..it's a noo shunt. Dis will make numpurr 8! ( She had LOTSA surgeries befur she wuz 2 years old. Numpurr 7 wuz rite before she turned 14. )

Yeah...Mommy usedta fink dis mewrologist wuz da best fing since sliced bread (or in our case scoopable kitty litter) .But wen he kept meowing to her ober an ober dat it wuz da oxipitail nerb (wait Spencer..let me try to spell that right in case one of the humans happens to be snooping on the kitty boards) occipital lobe...(there..fixed!) well ENNYWAY (don't werry..I'll get eben wiff Mommy later) da lobe iz in da bak uv Mommy's hed an' da mewrologist thawt dat DAT wuz da sorse uv Mommy's pain. So he kept purrscribing pain killurs an sending her fur nerb blokkage. Nuffing werked! HOPEFULLY dis'll werk!

It has been proven over the last few years that migrane type headaches respond well to caffine as it dialates the blood vessels allowing better blood flow in the brain. Gramma went out an bawt lotsa cans uv Pepsi (eben tho Mommy likes Coke betterer but don't look a gift horsie in da mouf rite?) An' Mommy LUFFS choklit! Da uvver nite Gramma made brownies fur her boyfrend's purrday.So batween drinkin Pepsi an eatin brownies, Mommy's hed hardly hurt at AWL! Dere still brownies left ober an Mommy haff sum choklit mice creem in da freezer. (It's ackchewally moose traks but whuteber.) Plus sum uvver choklit snaks. She not much uv a tea purrson unless it's da iced stuff. She luffs frappucheenos frum Starbuks tho. Sometimes we kits just can't help the boogers. I sneeze big globs all over the place all the time because of my sinus issues/allergies. I've even sneezed them into Mommy's face and hair. We can't help it. When you've got to sneeze you've got to sneeze!

That's very true. Mommy gets migraines and treats them with iced tea and vivarin. Sometimes she has been able to head them off before they get full-blown by "caffeine loading."
