Getula from South GA

Here is an example of variablity. Under this particular board I have found kings with chocolate ground color, wide bands, and speckling like the second pic of the DOR (this DOR was found about 30 miles south of the board). This is the opaque male that was under it last week. This animal is "typical" of Northwestern Georgia getula but was found several hours south. Just goes to show you locality can mean very little appearance wise.

Great pics. I agree in looking at some of the pics Ive gotten for my website that the same locality can look remarkably different.

It has been a while since I originally posted these and there are new people on this forum.
This is a large female kingsnake that The Boss (my wife) and I found in the same general area on 3 consecutive years (scar pattern identification). She was right at six feet long (I am 70.5 inches from fingertip to fingertip and she is wrapped around my hand).
We are located (just barely) in Georgia where Florida, Georgia, and the Atlantic Ocean meet. We just took the pictures and let her go to spread her beautiful giant kingsnake genes throughout the area.
These pictures are low quality for web posting, I can email higher quality on request but they will be the same pictures.
Enjoy,
Karl
