Here is a picture of a gravid female A. c. mokasen from North GA soon after I arrived to pick it up from the clown who found it and was going to kill it. She was nothing special to me at the time, just a regular old mud colored North GA dog.

Here she is just a few days before giving birth to four big neonates (all fed voluntarily on week old pinks, first time offered) I knew something was up when it appeared there were two brown ugly snakes in the box instead of one. Not that she is spectacular now or anything but I like the greys and the velvety cast in this animal, and it was a nice surprise to see how she cleaned up. Her offspring are pretty much carbon copies of her.
