I am woundering if there is any intrest in a herping trip to southern IL?
We have a good chance of finding eastern box turtles, painted turtles and red ear sliders, copper heads, prairy king snakes, black king snakes, five line and braod head skinks, ground skinks, all kinds of amphibs, and much more.
We might even find 3 toed box turtles and timber rattlers.
The "Great Snake Migration" usally happens in the early spring or late fall.
If there is enough interest, we may be able to get Scott Ballard to lead it. I don't know of anyone in Illinois who know more about our local herps.
If you are interested please email me. I would try to plan this for next year. (Geckoman2003@yahoo.com)
