Well, da sun "tried" to come out today... Mommy hadda go to a shelter meeting, and she hadda dribe around all ober to avoid flooded streets. Den affer dat she wented to da unipurrsity cuz her frend called dis morning to say dat da Liberry bottom floor (where da stakks fur books be) was fludded and dat da bottom floor of da Fine Arts bilding was fludded too. Dat da floor ob da Moosik Depurrtmint! Dere were giant sucky masheens at da fine arts and liberry bildings wiff big, fat hosey fings to suck wiff. Dey will giff da faculty a "winnow" ob time on Satterdy to go in da get ennyfing from deir offisses dat dey need afore September. Den dey will box up efurryfing else and put dems in PODS dat will be outside da bilding. Da piano teknishun checked on da pianos, and dey was mostly okey. Dat cuz dey mostly on "riser" fings to roll eezier. Da organs is fine. (WHEW!)
Dey gotta tare out alla da carpets and clean da concreet and disinfect, etc. and den put noo carpet in.

We are sending GLOW and PRAYERS for everyone who was flooded. Floods are terrible things and do a LOT of damage. Our area is still trying to recover from the flood we had last September. We pray that your area suffers less damage.

We're glad the pianos and organs was ok. Sounds like a big mess down there though. Hope things get dried out quickly!
