I think most of you know that Nicky stopped eating last Thrusday nite and has been hiding and not eating ever since. The vegetarian suspected pancakeitis and mom been force feeding and giving water tortures and meds. But so far there not been any improvement. So this morning mom took Nicky to another vet what does sonograms thinkin' more better inside pictures might be needed. But this vet say he thought it was pancakeitis too and told mom to keep doin' what she be doin' with the exception of the water torture...that has to get cut down cuz of his HCM...too much fluids not good for a HCM kitty...and he said give it another 2 days or so to see what happens. He said could be a virus what needs to run the course, maybe gastritis but more likely pancakeitis and that can take a week or so to get better with all whatmom doin'. But if there no improvement by end of week, then he gets the sonogram to make sure it not lymphoma. Mom almost choked when the vegetarian mentioned that word!
Anywayz....that silly boy came back from the vegetarian and went up on the windowsill instead of his hidey hole corner. And when we all started clamoring for our mid morning snackies, Nicky sat up and looked innerested. So mom offered him some and he ated a few kibbles all on his own! So is this the cure to what ails him....just take him for a ride to the vegetarian???? Mom sed we are "cautiously optimistic" right now.
