Her Andi here,
Yes in 25 days of September we got hit with 4 giant hurricane force windstorms. The first 2 really hit the worst and snapped trees and pulled them up by the roots (looked like someone pulled up carpets of lawns). any how we were told local creeks and rivers might flood a bit, and well I have a creek on the farside of the parking lot. Still it was not bad. The worst parts hit north of Anchorage, near Talkeetna (they did a New Orleans when a natural river levee broke and they had over waist deep water...ice cold water). We lost power here in our area and I packed up Pita and we stayed a few nights at my sisters house. Now we are under flood watches again with this latest storm. Its been coming down rather hard for past 4 days and there are larger than normal puddles everywhere. Still just letting you all know both Pita and I are doing well, he's just cranky because he can't go shrew hunting.
