My cages are built 2 together where one side has a slide out divider for breeding.
yesterday I was cleaning the cages and I walked away to wash off the scrub brush, so I just closed the cage doors without locking them.
I turned around to see my male Veiled Ra pushing the door open with his nose, climbing over and pushing the female's door open with his nose. he then started doing his "I'm sexy" dance in her cage as he walked over to her.
She, Of course being not ready to breed, turned black and spotted and started hissing at him. So I ran over and pulled Ra out of her cage and placed him back in his. I turned my back to get the scrub brush and he had ran back down and into her cage. lol poor little guy wanted some lovin bad.
So now every time I open his cage door he's down in the corner trying to get her cage door open.
Ra also has not eaten today or yesterday. I think he's upset that his girlfriend rejected him. Maybe a female blowup cham would make him feel better. Has anyone else ever had a male not eat if the female rejects him?
