A question about feeding newly purchased leo's.

earthpig23 Oct 15, 2003 07:18 PM

I recently purchased 2 female leos at an herp show. I know how to take care of them as far as requirments of viv and i have 4 snakes in wich I take care of.
I am however a nebie with Leos and I'm having trouble getting them to eat their first meal here. I brought them home and set them up in their cage Sat. it has been 4 days now and im wandering whats up.
i have tried meals first and then crix. I'm out of ideas.

It's very common for a gecko not to eat right away. My experience is it takes about a month to get them to eat regularily. Not to say it takes a month for them to eat, just to get them on a regular cycle.
Good luck and welcome to the legged lizards!

You can never have just one gecko. Actually it is almost impossible to have two
