Pictures of some of my adult dragons.

Mattman Oct 15, 2003 08:06 PM

Was able to get a few pics of the adults today some of them are in full brumation and some are semi brumating due to the longer nights and shorter days. Foster most likely will be one of my breeders next spring as he has some great genes, and size to lend his offspring. Foster is a redflame X sandfire I got from Chris Allen.

Going to start of slow my first season but might be able to squeeze a second cross using my Hypo Pastel (clear nail) Buddy. Hypo Pastels are one of my favorites. I really like Buddy's light colors from creamy yellow to almost a full body white when hot and out in the sun. He always has the pure white belly and the bright orange stripes around his eyes. This year I was able to accquire quite a few orange bodied hypo pastels so future breeding should be pretty neat.

I think Candy my 20 inch 545 gram female red/orange X snow will be paired with Big Foster if all goes well. I got my fingers crossed She's large for a female, grew up extremely healthy, and paired to either male would produce nice offspring. Candy was from a one time breeding. Her mother was beautiful with the two tone colors like Candy has on her beard all over the her body. If Candy offers just a bit of that to her offspring some should be outstanding.

Anna Nicole is my Red/Gold German giant who might breed as well if all goes well. Anna while not as long as Candy is still huge at 19 inches and 600+grams. She was a dragon I bought with breeding in mind cause her parents were just stunning. Her father was red with a pure black pattern. Really good genes in Anna. She too grew up very healthy and large and has a lot to offer to her offspring. Anna is one of my favorites, and just enjoys people in general. A great pet and possible breeder. We will see.

It's been such a long time since I've posted pics of the adults. Since I had a few now I figured I'd share some. I hope you all enjoy them

Actually they are both loosing a bit of weight. Before they decided to slow down for brumation I had them on a heavy green/zoomed pellet diet. Of course I treat them once in a while with supers and to tell you the truth all my adults just love the zoomed canned crickets. For anybody who does not want to feed live crix these might be a cleaner, tastier alternative.

I love the hypos/whites myself with the creamy colors and the neat eyes. I can honestly say that is by far one of the prettiest I have ever seen. Awesome man.

the lightening bolts under Fosters mouth are way cool.
I'm usually not big on hypo pastels, they usually look sickly to me, because of the paleness. BUT..yours is very nice
so, one question.....
Can I have it?

I'm glad you all enjoyed the pics. I've just been waiting to get them all out of their hides long enough to take a few descent pics of them. It's that time of year again and it seems that cold week in September really slowed them down big time. Early nights and shorter days have been taking there toll on them. Thing is I haven't changed the temps that much in the enclosures at all, just set the timer back an hour so instead of 14 hours of light they get 13.
