Good Luck to Pogo!! I don't mind answering questions at all. If you need just ask away. If he does have parasites ask the doc if he has a probiotic for animals available to you at his office. Most do carry something bene bac is another popular brand that vets carry. You ask him about acidophillus and he'll most likely steer you in a direction for treating pogo with it. It's not a medicine, but a digestive tract conditioner that helps with the side effects of the meds given to treat parasites. Good luck and please keep us updated.

is there any schedule for vet visits for dragons? My cats get a yearly checkup but I know nothing about dragon visits.

I get wellness checks, and fecals done every 6 months. If I plan on breeding a specific dragon that dragon will also get checked before breeding no matter how soon after her last check up. You want to catch things early with dragons cause they mask illness, and you won't notice visually until it has spread or is really taking a toll on the body. This is just my personal routine many people might even say go more or some would say once a year checkup and fecals twice.

What does a typical exam cost? I live in Canada so I'll just have to do the conversion and get a rough estimate. I plan on calling one tomorrow just to get him examined.

Thanks for the replies

A wellness check around me costs around 45-60 bucks depending on the vet. A fecal exam costs from 15-25 bucks. I happen too have a nice vet and can get a few dragons in at the same time for these prices.
