Earlier this month I received notification from a friend of mine (Johnny Binder) at Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas that a mutual friend of ours had been found deceased at his home in Fort Worth, Texas.
I was fortunate enough to become friends with Dave more than 25 years ago. He was a brilliant mind in the herp world and will be dearly missed by those whom he touched with his wit and wisdom.
Dave served as Curator of Reptiles at the Fort Worth Zoo for many years. He was always willing to help a fellow herper.
For those of us who were fortunate enough to call him friend, share a few drinks and a meal with him and chase snakes. We were the truly blessed one's.
Dave my dear friend, you may have passed from this world into the next, but you will never be forgotten. R.I.P.
