I can't help but notice, on very heated forums, that people are so rude, condescending, and hostile towards one another. I consider most people in this hobby to be very calm and effective in conversation, but just recently found out that this is not true.
I wanted my opinion to be heard on a Fauna Classifieds forum, on a very heated topic. I don't wish to go into specifics, because it is irrelevant. Has anyone else noticed this pure hostility? Has anyone noticed that people are caring less and less about animals, but more about their egos, pride, and the $$$? Also, one last question, has anyone noticed the very dogmatic approach towards everything in the herp community? As in, if you don't agree with the vast majority, then you are cast out and ridiculed...I just don't get it. Can anyone else shed some light or share experiences? I am curious if this is a international problem, or just a handful of people.
