You need only to buy a length of cord or even a shoelace for a small animal and one of those zip stop thingys. I dont know the name of them. The whole thing in the picture cost about a dollar when done.

They are called barrel clasp and you can et them at fabric stores maybe wall mart in the fabric dept. They are with the notions.
