boy scout road question

ive been to del rio/river road many times but will do fort davis for the first time this week. i will only spend one night there. which would better, boy scout road or making the 118 to 166 loop? thank you.

I personally am not a huge fan of the Boy Scout Road, I hate to drive all the way back there just before dark to find 2 other cars trying hunt the same mile of road. You might want to examine the habitat along Limpia Canyon on Hwy 17. Hwy 118 along Musquiz has produced a handful of Alterna as well. The big thing though is remember that the rocks around the Davis Mountains are dark and typically covered in vegetation. They are very difficult to hunt so take your time.
