axoloti transformation

Has anyone transformed axoloti into salamanders
if so how?

I haven't tried it but I believe its done using thyroxin. You can get it at Carolina Biological supply. I wouldn't recommend doing it thought, tranformed axolotls die soon after transforming. Tiger salamander larva also don't do well when forced to transform in this manner.

I asked the same question about a year or two ago. I had received a salamander larva for my birthday, then acquired a second one. I wanted to morph the second one quickly so that I could keep them both in one tank. When I posed the question, I was told that if I were going to try, I might as well stick them in a microwave on high, for it would have the same chance at surviving. ; ) If you want to morph it badly enough, i'd get in touch with someone who has successfully done it several times. My third salamander died on her own in morphing process, without any aid of my own.
