Hi Maiden - Since the record age for a ball python so far recorded was over 47 years old, I reckon 15 years must count as the prime of life. The oldest ball python I currently have was purchased in a pet shop on August 3, 1979. So he's over 24. The oldest one I have which I bred hatched July 17, 1983, so he just turned 20. They are both still going strong.

how big are they? (length and weight)

The 20 year-old captive bred male is currently 3480 grams and approximately 63 inches long. The male I got from a pet shop 24 years ago is 2600 grams and approximately 57 inches. Neither has entirely gained back the weight lost from this past breeding season.
