ok, so I ordered a 100% Red holdback beardie but received a 100% citrus holdback beardie. I feel really bad that the lil one I received might have to be shipped back bc of all the stress it causes.

Plus, this lil girl has the cutest personality thus far... but its not what i had intended to purchase. Great, she's looking up at me with those pretty eyes!

Here's my question....
Should I keep her and pay again for a red??? (so that I'd have paid for two beardies). Geez, I don't know if thats foolish to spend twice the money.

OR, do i send her back once i get in touch with the breeder??? What would you guys do?

me personally, i just couldnt send her back, know i would fall in love the first second.. buy the other one too! lol... hehe.. well if you have the set up for a second one and you can care for the second one, go for it i just couldnt send a baby back, i recently got one that was supposed to be 7 inches (he was 4) was supposed to be complete (had a huge nip) and i still couldnt send him back, i just love the lil stinker! just my veiw on it, but its really up to you and what you can handle as far as caring for 2 baby dragons.

Come's down to how much you like her. If she has a one of a kind personality then you keep her: if you not attached and had your heart set on a red then send her back. Thats what it comes down too but the risk is getting a dragon that may not have the star qualiy as far as personality. So i guess it comes down to are you wanting a breeder or pet? Hope this helps, scott

You're right about all the stress that shipping causes. If it was me and I had the money and enclosures to keep two, I would get the second one and keep the first one also. Especially since you said she is so sweet and cute. I also believe that things happen for a reason and maybe it was just meant to be that you got the little citrus colored beardie. You could always find her a home locally if you couldn't keep her down the road...

Hi

i can understand its very hard to send it back.
i only would call the breeder and tell the problem ,if you stil want a babie with more red in her ,what i can understand very wel
then i would tell him if he can lower the price for second beardie ,it is his fault .
and tell him send him back wil give stress again.
so if he is a good dude then he must do some thing for you !!

I would think that the seller would want to sell another dragon to you at a reduced price. I would think that they are going to pay the shipping to get the citrus back to them and pay the shipping to get you a red, so why not even discount the dragon at least what shipping would cost to get that citrus back to them. Instead of them having to pay say $70 in shipping and chancing the stress on the little one, they would have to only pay 35 or so and get to sell another dragon(hopefully a little reduced to satisfy you) to you, and most of all make you happy. After all they screwed up not you. That would be smart business in my book. Just my opinion.

If you have the means with which to take care of the second one, get it. Try to get a little break in the price because they made a mistake. If you can't and you recieved a more expensive beardie, contact them, ask if you can keep it. If you it's a cheaper one, and you decide to keep it. You should at least be refunded to the price difference.
