Hmm, I was always under the impression that Palp didnt need a 50/50 land water and do better with more land and hiding/burrowing areas. Either way, what I did is buy one of those plastic pre-formed ponds. You can get any size and volume. That way your water area is taken care off. Then just sink the pond into a wooden frame and enclose it. WOrked great for me. You can always do it more elaborate than mine but my caiman is allowed to roam the house when i'm home so she doesnt need that much in her cage.

Any advice on how to make a cage that could hold the animal and be waterproof would be very helpful. I'm looking to make this his last home as well...about 16'Lx8'Wx4'T. (about 50/50 land/water)
