ATTACHING COCO PANELS TO ACRYLIC?

UrbanAssault Oct 16, 2003 11:39 AM

I have some coco panels that need to be connected to the back wall on my acrylic aquarium. I heard that aquarium silicon does not bond with acrylic (only glass). The stuff I used to glue the acrylic together is called Weld-on 16. I dont think this liquid would do to well on the coco panels. Anyone have some suggestions for me?

I used the aquarium silicone to attach a plexi divider and it worked just fine. I didn't have any leaks and it is still holding strong now that I have the tank turned up on one end and using the old divider as a planter. You just have to make sure that you use a good amount and let it dry completely (24-48 hours)

Thanks for the help Heather. Yeah I guess the aquarium sealant should hold the panels on then. Atleast good enough to make a descent seal between the panels and the acrylic.
