Hi,
I posted an image a few days ago of Sweetpea entering pre-lay shed. I am surprised by the size of the eggs with at least three weeks to go. My original message was truncated when I used the "less than" symbol and I had to try a few times to get the text to post. Base upon your experience is it typical for the eggs to be so obvious at the pre-lay shed? Please refer to "pre lay shed? Image" posted May 26. Thank you. (PS even though she's milky, check out the IMG trait that has been showing up more and more over the last 1.5 yrs! It's much more obvious when she's next to a normal.) Thanks again!
Paul

Yes the last month or so befor laying eggs the females look very uncomfortable. I noticed that the last month is when I saw the most inverted laying and just "funny" laying positions. I also noticed about 3-4 days befor laying my females would kind of kink up almost looked like they were trying to move the eggs closer to the vent. It was a very differant position than I have ever seen a Ball Python in. Very interesting and very fun to watch. Have fun, Jason

Thanks for answering. Now I know someone with experience has viewed the image and believes it's normal. I was afraid some experienced breeders had seen the image, but were not willing to stick their neck out and say she looked fine, this big with at least 3 weeks to go. I'll be patient! Thanks again.
