Thank you so much for the replys and info!
The tank is a standard All-Glass (that's the name of the company)92 gallon corner tank. It used to be a reef until a few days ago. I moved all the corals and fish to my new in-wall 150 gallon tank. I was originally thinking of making the in-wall tank a frog vivarium, but wasn't ready for the new learning curve at the time.
The light that was on this corner tank, and the same one I'm thinking of using on the frog tank is a 250W, double ended HQI pendant. It's very bright. Enough to grow stony corals. It has a remote balast, so the pendant itself is very light and requires no fans.
I suppose I could just raise it higher off of the tank if it's too bright, or even add a layer of frosted acrylic if needed to diffuse it a little? Then put the more light loving plants in first and allow them to grown and produce shaded areas, then add the lower light plants afterword. On that note, do the lower light plants NEED lower light levels, or is it that they just tolerate lower light levels? I know when speaking of low light corals, it usually just means they will tolerate lower light, but will still thrive in brighter light. I just don't want it so bright that the frogs feel the need to hide. Pluse, if I can use lower wattage lights, it's easier on the electric bill.
I can't decide! And I don't have experience raising these things to really make an educated decision on my own.
The funny thing about getting into these frogs is, you pretty much have to become a horticulturist more than anything!

Cheers
Jim

Hi Again: I forgot to mention that a guy by the name of Marcin on this forum has a tank similar in size/shape and a very impressive set up he's got. Look in the archives, you'll see so many ideas, equiptment, design features. One thing you might want is fans on top of the tank to circulate air for the plants sake. Just post asking Marcin to reply. I'm sure he'll be glad to show you his masterpiece. If you are into reef tanks, its a good bet that you'll like the higher tech stuff and if you've got the skill set and resourses as I'm betting you have, why not have the impressive set up? I'm highly non-technical so I get to live varcariously through smart people like you and Marcin . Do show us your masterpiece whatever you decide on so I can salivate in envy and delight!
