At first I would like to cite Froggy:

In the time before worldwar 1 until the end of worldwar 2 we have had a saying in Germany:

"Am deutschen Wesen wird die Welt genesen".

Literally translated it means: The world will convalesce by the German nature.

That means if the German nature would be forced upon everyone all over the world, the world would be a much better place.
This saying was used in a time where the people in Germany regarded themselves as superior to the rest of the world.

History taught us where the whole thing lead to.

And now I have to read the lines of Froggy and I must state that this is just a casual translation of the same saying.

Quo vadis, United States of America? Do you really think that the people in the Middle East who think that the women should wear the Burka will thrive on Mc Donalds?

I can only say one thing: What a catastrophe that such a military power is in the hands of such ignorant people.
Of people who can not grasp that there are different cultures WHO DON'T WANT your way of life. But apparently this is beyond your ability of imagination.

Your concession that some of your comrades are also against this war is a litte glimmer of hope on the horizon that there may be at least some sensible persons and thoughtful people over there.

But right now surely not in the government. One can only hope that this will change soon. Otherwise you may light a fire like Germany did it 60 years before.

and greed Speaking of Germany. There was a show called Hitler "rise to evil" broadcast here in the states. The director of the series suggested that allot of what the United States/ This administration is doing right now to our polices and such, is parallel to pre Nazi Germany. I'll give you some perspective Nimrod, since your brain seems to be rotting away at an accelerated rate now. We didn't invade Iraq to force our "WAY OF LIFE" on them.
