who to trust?

Hi,
I am in the market for a trio (if my budget will stretch to it) of pastel balls i have been looking to deal with ballpython.com or NERD and would like to here from anyone who has had dealings with them.I would have prefered to deal with someone here in the uk but there are very few breeders of quality ball morphs over here so i have to look to the US as none of them breed pastels.

Thanks,
John

You have listed the names of two breeders who are among the creme de la creme of breeders in the US.

Their credentials are impecable.

Hi John, I live in the UK, and you are right, not too many breeders of quality pastels over here. Both Kevin at NERD and the Sutherlands are genuine peeps who will not rip you off, but give Ralph Davis a try as well. He has a big mouth and he is brash, but he is honest and a nice guy when you get to know him. All three sell quality animals and have very good reputations.

I whole-heartedly agree. I have bought from Ralph Davis and was VERY pleased. In fact,as of now,he is the only person I will work with. Ballpython.com and NERD are exceptional as well.

You will not go wrong with any of those three and there are also many other vendors who could sell you a nice pastel. Your options are a bit limited by the ones set up to ship internationally but they also happen to be the biggest names and the ones who have proven them selves trustworthy. Also, a nice thing about a Pastel is that the heterozygous is visible. So you are mainly looking for someone you can trust to do a good job of shipping and to have presented accurate pictures. None of these would have reached their current level without being able to do both of those and more. Best of luck but you really don’t need it for this deal!

I got my pastel from VPI.
I Got exactly what I was told I and more.
They are true pros.
My VPI pastel is one of the best snakes in my collection.
I would considder checking into The Barkers (VPI).

i purchased my my piebald from snake keeper and my albino from morph king. i have used nerd for other animals but not balls, i have seen their stuff and i am sure you would get a good animal. the other two above made fair deals and had great custome service, hope this helps.

Hi,
Thanks for all your help in this matter you have all confirmed what i already thought but with this level of investment you can't be to carefull it pays to do your homework. It looks as though it will be next summer before they can fill my order. It will be worth the wait i'll post some pics when i get them ( can't wait ).

Thanks again,
John

Them are both very good choices, also keep in mind designersnakes.com, ballpython.ca, grazianireptiles.com, Naturally I would also recomend myself but I dont have any pastels for sale as of now.
