Some first year breeding stats:

DaveCable Oct 16, 2003 05:19 PM

Well, the last two eggs I had cooking hatched last night, and I thought you all might like to hear some of my stats from the year.

7 females laid eggs for me
-all first time breeders
-all 9 of Bitie’s eggs were infertile
68 documented eggs
-22 hatched

I learned a lot this year, thanks to many of you, so my hatch rate was much better towards the end of the season. I’m sure next year will be even better. I have a few more females that are of age now, and I have a new male coming from K&N.
I believe my makeshift incubator, and temperature fluctuations were to blame for loosing so many eggs. I tried to copy trempers incubation method at first, but soon realized it wasn’t working for me.
My nicest hatchings came from Superman (hypo CT) and Kermit (jungle), they were born 9/27 and 9/26. Here is the picture of them again:

They are really coming along well. I’ll have some updated pictures for you guys as soon as I can borrow the camera again. The best advice I can give you is to get a really nice male, to put with your females. Thanks again, and keep us posted.

I look forward to seeing more pics I'm sure Bronx and Nala will produce some beautiful blizzard babies and if Bronx is het for patternless i should have some more of them if i breed him to Lily. Its Dot that i'm excited about though........she's turning out so amazing with every shed....more orange every time. Boo has orange going half way down his tail, its faded and not bright by any means but its there. Theres also a chance he is het for something....the breeder i got the others from asked where i got him....she sells all of her overstock to the place i got him so he might be one of hers. I really don't have much more room to house many more breeders.....i might just stick to what i have and see what happens. Its exciting though.....i can't wait hehehe.
