How damp or humid should the aquarium be?

fragilesoul Oct 16, 2003 07:10 PM

The soil is no dry, but feels a little damp. I watered the plant inside today, and came home to one end of the aquairum having a little water residue on it, like steam on glass. Not the entire side, just a small portion of it near the plant. Is this alright?

The air feels warm and damp when i put my hand in, is that alright?

Also, what does anole poop look like so i can scoop it out. Lil girl ate 2 crickets, im assuming itll come out soon.

That sounds fine, but, go buy a thermometer (if you haven't yet) and a hygrometer so you can keep check on the humidity. I'm keeping a baby Green on moist substrate, but I'm in Miami and that's where I got it, so that's to be expected. Either way, as long as your tank is well-ventilated there should be some nice humidity in there

Since anoles are originated from tropical regions, their humidity should reach at least 60%. Don't make the cage excessively moist, or else you lizards can develop water blisters.
