i got a frantic call at work today from my son telling me he was watering the cahmeleons and firefly(our male sambava) ran around the side of his cage and out to the top of it. he says when i trid to get him to go on my hand he went up the chain of the florecent light fixture and he( my son) couldnt get him because firefly was firing up and hissing. i told leave him alone for a few minutes and shut off the lights and he will calm down. i told he HAS to get the him back into his cage and he can't be scared but he has to be gentle....call me when he was back in. well 2 hours later i called him back to see what happend he said it took a while but his finally got him to go onto his hand. he has been non stop talking about it since i got home! lol

How old is your son? Poor guy.
Lol, I can just picture him fighting to get firefly back in while he's hissing and trying to look all big. They can actually get pretty scary for the tiny things they are.

my son is 9. he said i made it look easy then it was to pick up the chameleon. today my son came though for me like a champ! our nieborhood has been without power until a few hours ago. i had my boy take all the chameleons outside side for me... even my pissing female...to get their sun. he said it was easier today.
