I think I would rethink how I was housing my snakes, if I were you!

Nah, if you are familiar with dfr, his housing accommodations work for the snakes he houses together. Atypical, but it works for them.

` Thank you. You are sweet. Just remember: When you feed the trolls, they just get stronger and multiply. I'm sure they do so by fission, like most bacteria.
` Your critter list hasn't expanded. Everything on the list could be added to, except the last one!

` This big girl lives alone. She's 3 1/2 years old, and 12 feet long. She's going to be a giant.

`

` She is a sweetheart; however, when she is in feeding mode, she is SERIOUS!

Just waiting on a house, dfr. We are in a 2 bedroom apt currently, and I'm not sure if the landlord knows about all the animals. The reptile place near my house a pair of Solomon Island Ground Boas for sale, $300 for the pair. Sigh.......

Why should he? I think he is already convinced that relatively dry savannah climate is almost identical to the climate a more than semiaquatic rainforest dweller needs...

Is it just something about the color rendition on this particular shot? When I look at the area around the maxillary teeth of the ball python, the color looks abnormally dark (brownish?), whereas the oral mucosa in the rest of the mouth has a rather normal pink color.

` Did an inspection of his mouth, after reading your post. All looks OK, the dark coloration that showed up in the photo does not show, to the eye, nor with magnification. That picture was compressed from 2 megs, to 89k, for posting. The compression seems to have caused some checkering in the background. It may also have caused the discoloration in his mouth.
` By the way, the old Ball says, "Thanks for instigating that mouth inspection." If you'd give him the chance, I'm sure he'd like to return the favor, LOL.

` This is what they do when they smell their food thawing. Nice line, single file, no shoving. LOL
