There is no Ban on the importation of that species but rather I believe the Solomon Islands have a ban on their export. There are a bunch that have come into the country but I am not sure where they were imported from.

Not really, The solomans want to export the heck out of them but are not allowed to by Geneva(home of cities). They exported them and then fish and wildlife here in the states said they cannot be imported anymore (after the recent splurge of them) because switzerland has more authority than the solomans in issuing cities. It was a msitake and cities was issued to the solomans and they took advantage of it.
The solomans had stamps and a quota done and immediately used them, then switzerland got reports from the us saying so and so numbers are coming but it was immediately stopped due to the fact that it wasnt really supposed to happen.
The loop hole has been closed thusno more monkey tails can come out.
