Question about humidifiers/foggers

Arklier Oct 17, 2003 04:03 AM

I'm thinking about going with a humidifier or an ultrasonic fogger (buried under some loose stones where the frogs can't easily reach it) for humidity needs in place of an expensive misting system, and just mist to water plants and wet down waste by hand. I've noticed that some people have used humidifiers successfully, and I was wondering what brands would be easiest to plumb with pipe to get up to the tank level? I've noticed that a lot of them seem to have outputs that are too wide. I don't want a sewer pipe running up the back of the tank. IN fact, I'd prefer not to have pipes at all, so would hoses work instead? The humidifier would have to sit on the floor, which will be a good 3 - 4 feet below the top of the tank.

i have a Reli on ultrasonic humidifier, i just took two clear tubes i think theyre 3/4s inch wide and stuffed them inside the area where the fog comes out, and it works well for me
you maywant to silicon the tubes in so the fog just goes thru the tubes and not some outside the tubes.
