I was given two northern copperheads. I was wondering the best way to start them feeding. They are wc adults. They are 1.1 I have tried to feed them mice, but they just smell it and do not eat them. Any help is appreciated.

They may not feed for quite some time, it's common for copperheads to not eat this time of year, I would think northerns especially. I had a southern that stopped feeding in October and started back up in March. With the cooler weather and the change in daylight, it's just their biological clock telling them it's time to hibernate. I would try one last feed in a week or so, seperate the two first. If you plan on breeding them, I would brumate, they'll be fine. Snakes can go geat lengths without food, especially if they're from a climate where hibernation is a must.
good luck
