Now I have never seen one, nor do I know anyone who has either. Lets say they were to happen, what do you think they would go for? Just a fun question please dont make fun :D

Not going to make fun of it. Anything is possible. Let's just pray that if it does happen here in the USA it happens with good breeding ethics, and not from inbreeding, As for price who knows. There are none available. The first one would go for whatever the first person who wants one is willing to pay for it. On the dachiu's page they have a link too pics of a few from australia. I'll try to post the link here so you can copy it and paste but if it does not work go to www.dachiu.com hit links and scroll down the page till you see I think it says bob's albino dragons or some name like that BOB BILL whatever. Here try to copy and paste this. http://www.dachiu.com/albino.html

Just to point out that if and when it does happen, there will be inbreeding to some degree. If you only had one albino, you would have to inbreed at some point to produce albinos. Chris

A LOT, the first albinos always go for more if it's a popular animal. And then more over again if the animal can have 60 babies a year.
I'd say 10k.

Peter: It's OK, I'll handle it. I read a book about something like this.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't NOTHING?

Somebody here posted a pic of a batch of albino bearded dragons...however none of the babies survived. I don't remember if the breeder was going to try and get more or if he abandoned the project. A search of the archives may pull up the picture.

Yeah, I remember that pic. Didn't they all die because their skin was too sensitive to withstand the high temperatures that their body needs? For some reason I remember reading that, but i could be wrong. Anyone else know why? or if thats true?

i thought it was cause the breeders neighbor used some pesticide on his garden and it killed the young albino beardies since he housed them outside... (lol soon who knows what other stories will have come up)

DuncanGSI Oct 18, 2003 05:09 AM

I've read that somewhere too, but i can't find the link anymore.

I think it was the same story, about the pesticides.
