1. I'd use paper towels. It's one of the safest substrates you can use. Some leos, even with 100% proper husbandry can and will eat sand so I don't even chance it anymore.
2. That is an amazing size for 2 they'll be really active in there, just make sure you give them lots to explore and plenty of hides. Some don't like to be out in the open for long, while others do. Best to give them lots of cover with fake plants and driftwood in addition to the regular and humid hides.
here are a couple of pics of my 4'x2'x16" enclosure, I chose concrete for substrate, and it weighs a lot

as you can see theres plenty of cover in there to let him explore and feel safe at the same time.

3.Patternless leos are sometimes mislabelled as leucistic. They are varying shades of tan/yellow with brown blotches at birth, then the blotches fade as they age leaving just the background color.
I don't know what a good price is, I'm not too interested in patt's or blizzards so I don't really keep an eye out for them. Check the leopard gecko classifieds here on kingsnake and you'll get an idea of prices.
4.See #3
5.you can offer a dish of calcium at all times, also it is good to dust their insects before feeding.
6.they don't "need" it, but if you give it to them they will use it.

7. one end of the tank should be around 90º and the cool end should be room temp. The humid hide should be on the warm end.

I hope this helps you out, good luck and thanks for letting me sprawl my pics all over this post

>>i have a few questions before i get one
>> 1.should i use paper towels or sand? i like the sand but ive read bad things about it.

use sand if you want. there are risks, valid risks, but i never had a problem when i used it. paper towels are easier, and safer.

>> 2. 4ftx2ftx18in cage a good size for 2

thats plenty of room.

>> 3.what is a leucistic leopard gecko or the difference between that and a regular.

i'm assuming you mean patternless, they used to be called leucistic, but that term was incorrect. they basically are just a leopard gecko that has no spots, it's a recessive trait. they are born with a pattern that fades.

>> 4. 69.99 a good price for leucistic one(dont know how to spell that)

$70 sounds fine, you can get them much cheaper though. it depends on the gecko's age and appearance, and also, the person selling it.

>> 5. do u just put calcium in lid for them (weird)

you leave a bowl with the calcium, AND dust their food.

>> 6. they dont need anything climb on right.

they don't NEED it, but i'm sure they'd appreciate it.

>> 7. proper temperature basking spot and cool spot

warm side - 90, cool side - 80
>>thanks

Well sit right down my wicked son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am with my hand

He took his sister from his head
And then painted her on the sheets
And then rolled her up in grass and trees
And they kissed 'till they were dead

This ain't no holiday
But it always turns out this way
Here I am, with my hand

Well sit right down my evil son
And let me tell you a story
About the boy who fell from glory
And how he was a wicked son

any visual way to sex them. iknow it wouldnt accurate though but i can guess. and any body know where i can order mealworms for not too much.

they are easily visually sexed. the males have pores in the shape of a V right before the vent, and two lumps after it.
