The type of chuckwalla we have is one of the black at both ends, and red through the center, with a big,thick,roughly scaled, light colored tail. It lives in the desert among rocky mountains. (If that helps getting us info on keeping him healthy.)I do know he is a male, as the girls are mostly a dusty/brownish color. This guy IS one heck of a lizzard!! And he seems to be calmer when my son and I stroke his head.I think he is a VERY nice dude. ) Anyway, thanks for any replies.
