Bearded Males

Darren179 Oct 17, 2003 09:49 PM

Hey from personal experience how long tell sibling males begin to fight? Also Ive seen a couple posts about males fighting... For the most part I advise like most do not to do it Unless you have a large set up witha few females. I have got 2 adualt males living together with 4 females. They get along fine BUT they have a VERY large home 5 feet long, 2 and a half feet deep, 4 feet high, with a couple levels and tons of hiding/basking areas.

Normally it's at about 6 mo of age.
I'm surprised yours don't fight, really that's not that big of a space, since one adult dragon should have a 4' x 2' area..and you have 6 dragons in a 5' x 2.5' ?
What's your secret? Must be all the levels and hides?

I think its a number of things

1. They have been together since they were both a couple of months
2. There are a few Females
3. There are a couple of levels and even a couple in depth caves
and MANY! hides/ basking areas.

I have yet to see agression but I do notice they do not generally hang around each other but It does happen

When I bought my male Cheyenne (who was supposed to be female), he was housed with a sibling that was male. They got along great until I changed them into a bigger enclosure (they were both in a 20L) and then they started fighting because they had to establish who was boss of the new place

They were 12 months old when I bought them.
