beautiful hatchling Borneo

dave barker Oct 17, 2003 10:27 PM

Check out this Borneo short-tailed python that hatched today.

I thought I knew what was going on in this lineage, but I don't. Every animal in the lineage is different. I'm not sure how many mutations are involved, but it's like the pattern is not nailed down. It's like breeding koi. I like every one of them so much that it's been hard to release any.

Some of the Borneos in this lineage are incredibly striped. Heck, there are three or four different kinds of stripes in this lineage. But look at this little trophy that just hatched today (he's fat with yolk.) This is an unexpected appearance of a Borneo, but--wow!--he's going to be a trophy when he grows up.

If any of you haven't seen the other baby that's pictured at the Breeders Bragging Post, he's from a different clutch, but the same lineage--check out his stripes. There's also some blood python pictures posted there.

Truly spectacular D & T!!!!! I'm still reeling over the Ivory blood in Chicago last weekend, and now you lob this in our direction - absolutely amazing!!!!! I am completely blown away...that little gem of a Borneo is a work of art.

Can't think of anyone who deserves it more... and can't wait to see it in person someday!

XOXOXO

I can't keep up as it is and you go off and come up with another appearance! Good job! I love the pattern and if the color on the photo is accurate it looks to be black and white. As with all your wonderful hatchlings, keep us posted.

You folks have so many new mutations going on I'm starting to think that you're using plutonium water bowls or something! Awesome, awesome, awesome! You must be getting tired of naming new morphs by now, really! Well done.
