Questions on breeding waxworms

Mothi Oct 18, 2003 03:08 AM

I have never tried breeding waxworms before, but have been sucessful with silkworms, roaches, mealworms, and superworms.

What are some good recipes you use to make the food for the worms? How many worms should I start with? I have 19 small frogs and hoping to get 2 crocodile skinks before the end of this year, that might like an occasional treat.

Any other tips or sites you feel are a great source of information is appreciated. Thanks.

Here's a good website for you:

Keeping and Breeding Waxworms

Be cautious with these, they're high in fat and should be only fed for treats. They're also known to be addictive to certain reptiles, so think twice before you give these out to your pet. Good luck.
