Coco-Fiber backgrounds

domina Oct 18, 2003 11:25 AM

can anyone tell me if CoCo-Fiber (the rolled up sheet kind) will grow moss and things if sprayed right with the right conditions.Much like the panels and or fern root .I'm thinking it may be easier to glue this to a foam background rather than the bedding stuff....
THANKS,
ANDY

I've had coco-fiber in one of my tanks for over a year and haven't seen any moss on it, while it has grown on some of the wood. Ficus Pumila and ivys attach to it very well. Be careful about letting it sit in water. A section of mine was getting splashed continuousely by the water fall and rotted after a few months.
