(((((mattman))))))......few more quickies

Okay as you know I had all 4 sides of Pogo's cage covered up. I was wondering how long I should keep it like that...Seems kinda isolated in there...Actually I took one side down but he won't be able to see any real activity or prying eyes from that end anyway...Also I notice in the morning there are some pellets that I bought scattered around but not inside the dish. Do you think he's eating them or just playing with them??? Hard way to tell I suppose unless I count them! He's still not eating much but he did eat 4 crix for his first feeding this morning...also giving him the oral feeding still....Actually he's pretty aggressive when I feed him by eyedropper! Attacks it!! That's a good sign I would hope...Well that's it....Have a good weekend!

Once mine are settled in I start taking the sides down piece by piece until they are all down. Mine usually are eating a lot at this time, and getting into a routine. Is the little guy active in his cage? Is he basking and going to all sides of the cage or is he usually hiding or in the same spot not basking? Sure, it's been a while since he's been closed up he has to start getting use to things there. Take a piece off and if he doesn't become preoccupied with his reflection (climbing the glass) it should be fine, but if you see him staying in the same spot might be a sign of being unsettled. You got the vet appointment for the stool sample right? You bought the probiotic acidophiliz which is good, did you happen to pick up the worm guard as well? the worm guard lowers parasite numbers naturally and also has an appetite stimulant in it. I'm real surprised the little guys eating has not picked up yet, most settle in by the second week or so. Don't spoil him with the syringe feeding, he has to catch his crickets on his own. He might be eating the pellets or he might be running through them, tough to say for sure. Have you tried dropping some from the top of the cage. My young guys will eat anything that falls from the sky, lol greens, pellets, crickets. Try that. I hope pogos appointment goes well. Keep us updated.

Yes he is trampsing around the whole enclosure...Not sure how much is enough but he does investigate stuff...Actually his eating has picked up a little, but not like as much as I liked. He still eats about 10 crix a day...plus the syringe feeding, and some of the pellets if he is eating those....Yes I do have the vet appointment for next week! I did the Acidophiliz and gave him 2 doses. One the first night...and one the second night. I discontinued that until the vet appointment..I bought some worm guard actually just a hour ago!!!! Not sure if it's the brand your speaking of!!! Is it by NATURE ZONE????? I bought it for $10.00!! Actually he is eating the crix on his own...and he's very aggressive with the eyedropper..I don't have to force him to eat it...He bites at the dropper for more!...I did take one side of the paper towel down..maybe in a few days I'll take the rest down..One thing I was wondering is do you think my newborn son's crying is bothering him??? He cries quite a bit. He's only a month old...Didn't know how much that could affect a dragon...Okay enough for now..Let me know if that Nature Zone Worm Guard is the right brand!!!!!
