There is no easy way, unfortunately. Generally, male snakes have longer, thicker tails than the females of the same species. This is best observed by comparison, but with experience, you can eyeball a snake's sex.

Other methods, called "probing" or "popping" are best left to the experienced. If you know someone who has performed these procedures, ask them for help.
