I have a year old Ball Python, he was pretty average looking, until his last shed. He is now black, white & yellow, instead of the usual color. I bought him at a pet store as a normal. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Thanks!

Interesting. As my snakes get older, they do change. It is not dramatic and takes a considerable amount of time - over years. But I do have one female that has changed colors after her last shed. She went from yellow and brown to black and almost white. She's the only one so far.

I have several females now that are doing the same thing. One is darkening only within the "aliens". The other is being taken over with a black wash that is covering over even the lightest markings. The top of her head is turning black! I am working with these trying to prove them out. I could use a male. Let me know if you are interested in selling/trading him. If so contact me at BLREPS@optonline.net.
My male is doing this also.
With every shed his green is lighter then before. The and of his pattern near is belly is receding and the number of spots increases.
