hey everybody,
My question is what type of bloodline info is kept if any about the more common dart frogs such as the common types of tincs, tricolors, luecs, arautus, ETC. I know that lots of info is kept about eggfeeders and thumbnails, but what about in the future when the common frogs haven't been imported for years, so there are no new bloodlines, and most of the frogs in the hobby are inbreed and we finally learn the extent of our inbreeding problems? It sounds like a dooms day scenario, but i could truly see this happening. Is what i'm saying way of track? Should we be more worried about bloodlines?

I think most quality breeders have and know their bloodlines. For example I think patrick lists some of his info on his website. I agree that there is a good amount of trust involved, but I think in most cases it should be ok. Maybe I am just not that worried about it yet...

I do agree that the breeders keep alot of bloodline info, but it's not the breeders that i'm worried about, it's hobbyists that don't really care that much about the bloodlines. I really don't know if what i said will ever happen, i was just thinking what might happen if worst comes to worst.
