That is if you know the origin of the parents!(and,I'm sure you probably do.)genetic mutation occurs as a matter of natural course,in every single species/subspecies/locality variant on the planet...you just have to be lucky enough to find,or,produce them...OUTSTANDING boa...what's the story on this beauty?

In '01 a big ugly gravid female came in and dropped a litter with 5 striped boas in it. We picked them up and that one was the best looking one. We sold it and told the man who bought it "If you ever want to get rid of it, we will take it." He just desided that he is going to downsize his collection to 2 animals. He called and we bought. We may keep it for breeding. We might sell it. If the price is right. Either way it is an incredible animal. I will try to dig up the pics of it as a baby and post them.

both. Dang nice one at that.

Wow, that's spectacular! Though possibly not genetic, of course, unless you have some reason to believe it is.

All animals are some morph: "normal" is just as much a morph as anything else. "Mutant" would be a better term.

unless you prove it genetic. I know there is one bloodline that drops laddertails and reversed striped animals every year.. also the female pictured is the result of breeding laddertails.. she is just an extreme laddertail complete with reduced saddles and reversed striped tail.
