Moving dragons from Canada to the US

kameron Feb 08, 2003 03:30 PM

Does anyone know the laws/regulations about bringing bearded dragons across into the US from Canada? I have a friend that wants me to take her beardies, but she lives in Calgary and I live in Texas. Can she ship them from Canada or can she drive them across and ship them from the US or how does it work? I've never done a cross-country-border shipping.

Thanks, Kameron

As far as I understand this, she can drive them across the border, but no shipping. To ship internationally you need an import/export license. If you ship Delta Dash, they can sometimes do the work for you--but they sometimes ask to inspect facilities and it is pretty expensive.
