Sweet face eh?

Looks like an hypo, but the East bay Vivarium ones look better than that one, just my opinion
I'll tell you why I ask. And I wasn't looking for compliments, or to be told it's "not as good" as someone elses rainbow!
Someone looked at my "hypos" and said he thinks they're just Guyanan rainbows of some form or other. Now I've looked at various pictures here and disagree. My animals have the same pattern as your regular E.c.c., but without the black. i.e. the pattern is the same. The heads aren't the same as my normal adult females but I put this down to size / immaturity.
Any ideas? Jeff?
Any thoughts on this one?
I think Tony Basica had one that looked like that snake. It seems to me that this must be some sort of hypomelanism even though it is quite different than the East Bay/Darin Bell Hypo BRBs. This would be comparable to the two different strains of amelanistic Boa Constrictor imperator or the difference between the ornage and purple colored amelanistic Retics. Perhaps it has something to do with tyrosinase positive or negative genetics?

Thanks for your reply Jeff. Yes I have been thinking along the lines of the balls, and the different "ghost" lines. I also look at mine at times and think they look like caramel albino balls (colour-wise).
I don't know of the Darin Bell hypos, does he have a site?
Anyway, it's nice to hear that I'm not the only person that thinks these beautiful animals aren't some form of Guyanan rainbow.

I have a colombian that looks similarto this one, it was dubbed a hypo colombian, and that would be my guess as to your animal...my shots wer daytime shots, she gets much lighter at night, but I like real natural light for my photos...Bryan Hummel
