I just visited that show and fair this afternoon in Hillsboro, Oregon, and boy, did I had a blast!!! There were 3 sections: birds, mammals, and reptiles. In the reptiles, there were countless snakes, turtles, chameleons, leos, monitors, tegus, feeder insects, mice, other lizards, and even a few rattlesnakes, a cobra, a gila monster, and some American alligator hatchlings!! I was so excited!!! This is the first time I've ever visited a herp event, and now I've learned that these events are the best places to buy your new pet. Unfortunately, I wasn't planning to buy anything, since I just went there to see what the herp events were really about. I handled countless snakes including milks, kings, rosys, pythons, retics, corns, boas, and even juvenile anacondas. I also handled tortises, chameleons, iguanas, tegus, monitors, uromastyx, leos, other geckos, and even alligators (very tame).

There were so many beautiful leopard geckos, and their prices were excellent! One of them was a high yellow phase, and after I was done handling with it, I tried to put it back into its plastic container, but he just wouldn't go in! And whenever I tried to push him back in, he seemed to be losing his temper. Even the seller had trouble pushing him back into it.

So, has anyone else here visited this event recently?
