i would just say thanks to everyone who has answered all of my questions about monitors. i sat down last night and went over every thing that i would have to do to take care of a black throat properly and i just dont think i will have the resources to care for it properly. i dont think the space i have is enogh for a monitor to be happy. and i dont think i have the reasources to properly brred mice. and with my aprt time job i dont think i could buy mice in bulk nor do i have the space to store them. and since mice make up a large percentage of thier diet i figured it would be bad to get one and not be able to get enough mice/rats.
and the big thing is i am not sure on there legality here in massachusetts

so i am thinking about getting a red tegu since their diet is more spread out and they do not attain such a large size and do not need to eat rodens only.

i would just say thabnks to everyone. but who knows i may be back in eh near future looking into getting one again.

well i have messed up before. it was not bad but when i went to my local breeder(well kind f a breeeder) to get my uromastyx he said that their basking spot should be 100 degrees and they should eat more crickets than greens. so he got sick and had to go to the vets and then i found this site and now he is doing great. so now i search and search and search BEFORE i buy.
