Carpet for the winter???????

DragonGirly Oct 19, 2003 12:55 PM

Buzz is trying to burmate, so I want to clean his house for the winter.I want to take out all the sand and replace it etc.

My question, how about using the indoor/outdoor carpet instead of sand? ( NOT the plastic kind, the other kind)

I used to use bran but the health food store closed so I had to go back to sand (play sand)

I need to take him in for a "winter" weight check, stool check etc.

But is it time for him to go to "sleep" He turned 1 this past May.And its been getting chilly here at night ( we live in NC)

I used to use sand and then went to the "felt type" carpet. It was a lot easier to manage. I now use no slip shelf liners and those are even easier

I think switching over from sand and doing a thorough cage cleaning right before brumation is probably a good idea.
