so....common insects from around the house should be ok to feed a pacman like beetles and such. also this would be ok if the yard has not been spraid with pesticides.

The best thing would probably be store bought crickets. Then you can bge quite sure they don't carry any parasites. You can also feed them night crawlers. I don't really know how much you of the food from out doors you should feed them, but wait for some more answers.

Unless you live in the open area, with little/no close neighbors, the rule of thumb is always NO on found insects. Even if you are not spraying pesticides, a neighbor might and the crickets/spiders whatever can easily make it to you before it dies. Such poison can accumulate in your frog and cause death, beware.
