Took a few pictures today of some of my Hypo Pastels. It's great watching this morph grow, and change from shed to shed. One of my favorites cause their colors are interesting, and the way they change so drastically from dark phase to light phases during thermoregulating. Real neat dragons. Can't wait till I can breed a few of them to see what I get. I got quite a wide color range in them.

This is Reaya the little dragon Reiko picked out for me. She's just what I was looking for, A beautiful sweet clear nailed hypo pastel. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks again Rea!! I'm very happy with how she is growing and coloring up with each shed. She's shedding now her head and her whole underside. Sorry about the glare in this pic but it was taken through the glass.

This is Kami. Kami Is a clear nailed hypo pastel dragon I bought from Rob & Vicki Dachiu. Kami is turning into quite the colorful young male. Getting pretty big too. Still has one of the brightest yellow heads I've seen on a Pastel. Big bright head and nice pale pastel body colors. He's like a rainbow at times and some of his scales are that cool translucent look that some pastels have. Especially right down his spine where there is light lavender coloring.


This is Kiya. Kiya is half Hypo Pastel half hypo orange so she does not have the clear nailed trait like my others but should produce some if bred to one of my clear nailed pastels. From what I was told her father did have clear nails. Either way she is a great little dragon, and is doing great.

Last but not least is Buddy my Hypo Pastel clear nailed from Sandfire. He's my adult pastel, and should father a few babies this coming spring. I can't wait to see how they turn out.

Wow, they are beautiful. Where did you get them?

Buddy the adult was purchased as a baby straight from the Sandfire Ranch at a show they came too. I picked him out of about 4 bins full of clear nailed hypo pastels. He was one of the lightest ones, and was the male I wanted. Kami I bought from Rob and Vicki Dachiu at www.dachiu.com. I was lucky enough to take a drive out to their home, and breeding facility. I picked him out of about 500 or so dragons. He was not the brightest, or most colorful they had but his size amongst his siblings was much greater, and he did have colorful parents as well, and he continues to color up with age. Little Reaya I asked Reiko who posts on this forum to go to lll repile to pick me out a nice hypo pastel female. LLL only had very tiny young pastels available and they were not the same nice ones Reiko told me about 2 weeks earlier. So she drove to reptile Haven who also had clear nailed hypo pastels. She picked her out of the many they had. Reaya was a very light dragon as a baby and Reiko picked her cause she stood out amongst the others being so light. Well, after three sheds she has colored up so much, and looks like she will continue too for a while. Kiya is not a full hypo pastel. She is half hypo pastel and was from a breeder who no longer breeds dragons. Glad you liked the pics.

i cant believe how big Reaya is getting, both me and Race went "woah! shes getting huge!" she was just a little thing when we last saw her in person, such a sweet girl, i picked her up and she just lay really nice and calmly on my hand while about 8 other dragons crawled around on my hands and arms while we were trying to pick out finalists.. lol... well glad you are happy with her, shes such a cutie.

Everyone is looking so great, Kami is just awesome, Buddy i think is just such a handsome dragon, should have beautiful babies.

Thanks so much Rea. Thanks to the both of you there for picking such a charmer. She actually is getting a reddish/orange color down on each side of her spine. She changes color like a Chameleon. She is starting to get big. Got her in a bigger tank now that my special baby girl if all goes as planned will be here next week. Got my fingers crossed and am not saying a thing about her till she is here in my hands, lol :X Then I will show off my secret special new little girl, lol. I love your hypo pastels. Really great looking dragons. Keep me updated on how your breeding goes. Maybe we could do a dragon exchange...Anyway, keep in touch.
